Skål (meaning “cheers”) invokes the spirit of a Viking mead hall - it’s warm, welcoming, & often raucous! Here you’ll find a rotating lineup of craft beer, a vast selection of mead, & a cocktail program highlighting the Scandinavian spirit, aquavit. Our gastropub style kitchen explores the flavors of the sea, woods, and farm with plates designed to pair with your drink. Plan a group celebration and be treated like a Jarl with one of our Viking feasts or come for Ballard’s best Happy Hour. Help us carry on the Nordic tradition in Ballard!

Skål offers partial or full rentals of the beer hall for celebrations or events, as well as private use of our covered and heated outdoor space. We also offer Viking feasts for small to large groups, party platters, and full catering options to enjoy at the beer hall or another venue. Please contact us for details.

Upcoming Events

We host a diverse lineup of community-focused events that are best enjoyed with a beer in hand. Once a month, we host a communal Viking Feast with a pairing from a local beer or mead partner. Other events are inspired by our Nordic heritage, our love for the PNW, and our thirst for knowledge and fun!
